Too often we don’t realize
What we have until it is gone
Too often we wait too late to say

And then it’s usually too late
To see what made us blind.

So be sure that you let people know

Take that time to say the words
Before your time is through.

Be sure that you appreciate

And be thankful for the little things
in life that mean a lot.

A lovely face, a pretty smile in the morning light,

An angel lying beside me appeared in my sight.

“Good morning babe” as you whispered into my ears,

A voice that I haven’t heard for so many years.

A great morning to start a brand new day,

With you on my side, we’re gonna go a long way.

It will be a beautiful day ahead of us I know,

Talking and laughing underneath the blue sky,

Watching the birds as they soar up high.
